Saline Nasal Spray helps prevent Chronic Sinusitis

A problem that I see a lot as I take care of people is sinus problems that occur over and over again and never seem to go away. We call this ‘chronic sinusitis’. This can be caused by a variety of problems.
Chief among these sources are allergies that cause swelling of the nasal passages. Most people understand that allergies can be miserable but the process of allergy is kind of complicated. The treatments themselves can also be complicated. Allergy shots can be helpful but can take months to start to work.
I have discovered that when allergy is playing a role in the chronic sinus problem, one of the best things that can be done is to use a saline nasal spray to irrigate or wash out the passages of the nose. This decreases the amount of stuff that the person is reacting to. This in turn decreases the swelling in the nostril.
Now if it is my nose I would much rather be using a saline nasal spray to treat the symptoms than getting shots every week. Who wants to get shots every week (or month)? Plus, the saline nasal spray can work very quickly when it is used for allergy conditions of the nose.
I know that people generally are miserable with chronic allergies. I think that the fastest way to relief is to use the saline nasal spray. Sometimes the person feels better in minutes. I suggest this as the thing to try before moving on to complicated treatments.
In summary, many people deal with chronic sinus infections. These infections do seem to have more than one possible cause. The cause frequently is related to allergies. Fortunately nasal allergies can be treated with saline nasal spray quite effectively and by doing so you can decrease chronic sinus infections.
